Jazz_Star_LogoREV_RGBFor those of you who are not familiar with it, the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival is one of the top events of its kind and makes for some of the best nine days in Rochester, N.Y. It attracts over 130,000 music lovers with over 250 concerts featuring artists from over 18 countries—including the likes of Gladys Knight, Herbie Hancock and Jeff Beck among others.

2010 is year two of Xerox’s title sponsorship, and we’re excited to continue supporting some of the activities we debuted last year such as collectable guitar picks printed on the Xerox iGen4™ Press, customized photos and more. These types of applications put us in touch with the festival’s audience while demonstrating our products and services — our way of showcasing our brand and our commitment to the Rochester community.

Xerox is also spearheading a cool, pre-festival component called “Jazz Star: The Search for a New Sensation.” Not only will this new event highlight up-and-coming jazz talent, but it will also support Biz Kid$ Real, a program that teaches fundamental business development skills to city youth.

And the winner will take the stage at this year’s Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, plus walk away with$2,000 cash and a slick demo recorded at a professional studio.

When we started our association with the jazz festival, we knew it would be a powerful partnership. What we didn’t know was just how much it would resonate with our clients and how much closer it would bring us to our community. We hosted not hundreds, but thousands of people at our hospitality tent. We’ve found new ways to deepen our relationship with fellow sponsors like the City of Rochester, and we’ve seen a bigger than expected boost in our local brand visibility.
