Every Little Thing He Does is Magic

The music of Sting transcends artistic genres, national borders and generation gaps. For more than three decades, he’s contributed a phenomenal collection of songs to the soundtrack of our lives.

He’s a twelve-time Grammy winner who’s sold 100 million albums since his days with The Police. And now Sting is joining forces with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for an unforgettable tour across the globe. And in case you didn’t know, Xerox is the presenting sponsor.

Said best by Xerox Chief Marketing Officer Christa Carone:

“Our global sponsorship of Sting’s 2010 world tour offers an opportunity for Xerox to showcase not only Sting’s legendary talents but also the real business of entertainment. Every great performance depends on a smoothly run backstage and that’s the role Xerox plays behind the scenes with our customers today. Our technology and services will support the needs of the tour so that they can focus on what they do best: giving Sting’s fans around the world a magical evening of music.”

From printing tour signage, sheet music, show programs and schedules on-site and on-demand at every show, to using XMPie technology to create personalized, one-to-one marketing materials such as postcards and videos for fans, Xerox will be behind the scenes playing a critical role in the successful execution of each Sting concert experience.

The Sting “Symphonicity” Tour kicked off last week with his first concert in Vancouver. Stay tuned to this blog and Xerox’s YouTube channel for future posts and a behind-the-scenes look at the real business of entertainment from our very own Xerox Tour Manager Brian Samuelson.

And in the meantime, check out www.xerox.com/sting to catch a glimpse of Sting live in concert and for words from Live Nation Global Tour Manager Ciaran Flaherty and Live Nation SVP of Global Operations Craig Evans.
