Decoding Healthcare Speak: Xerox and TheHealthcareBlog.com, Keeping a Pulse at HIMSS11

– Becky Dziedzic, Xerox public relations

EHRs vs. EMRs, HIEs vs. HIX.s – the number of healthcare acronyms is growing almost as fast as the number of discussions debating reform.

At HIMSS11, kicking off next week in Orlando, Fla., there will be a lot to talk about.

Breaking down the discussions and decoding the latest acronyms used, Xerox will be delivering coverage direct from the show floor, with help from partner www.TheHealthcareBlog.com (THCB).

THCB’s leading industry reporters, including founder Matthew Holt, will report on topics ranging from Electronic Health Records (EHRs) to Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), with articles appearing in the new healthcare features section of Xerox’s newsroom.

We’ll also be actively engaged in the many healthcare-related conversations that will take place next week – and by following us on Twitter at @ServicesatXerox and THCB at @THCBstaff – you’ll see it all.

HIMSS is the largest health IT event of the year, drawing thousands of industry experts discussing issues that impact providers, payers and of course patients. For those of you who can’t make it to the show this year – Xerox and THCB will keep you updated on the latest coming out of Orlando – and we encourage you to weigh in with your thoughts!
