With all the news surrounding changes at the U.S. Postal Service, one might wonder if snail mail will experience the same demise as pay phones.  Well, for one Xerox customer, SendOutCards, there’s no question that snail mail – or in this particular case, greeting cards, won’t be disappearing any time soon.

SendOutCards produces about one million cards per month under normal conditions—and nearly 700,000 cards per day during its busiest seasons.   The company prints, stuffs, stamps, and mails personalized greeting cards – all for less than the average price of a retail card.

There’s a lot of cool technology inside SendOutCards’ operations, including six Xerox iGen Digital Production Presses and XMPie, A Xerox Company, that customizes the greeting cards.

Clearly thousands of SendOutCards customers believe snail mail is here to stay.  Check out this video tour of SendOutCards – it’s pretty amazing.
