When you set a goal to hire 10,000 veterans by 2018, you have to ask yourself: How will we get there?
Through our Heroes@Home program, we hire qualified veterans and military spouses for at-home employment opportunities. In the past year, we’ve had job placements for customer care agents, image processors, data analysts, help desk specialists, systems developers, leadership roles and many other positions.
But we can’t do it alone, so we also cooperate with Joining Forces, a nationwide initiative that rallies Americans and businesses around service members, veterans, and their families, and supports them through wellness, education, and employment opportunities.
Here’s a look at some of the places where we find highly qualified veterans for our work force.

100,000 Jobs Mission: A coalition of more than 170 companies that are committed to hiring 100,000 veterans by 2020. More than 160,000 veterans have been hired, and the goal has been doubled to 200,000.
Hiring Our Heroes: Xerox is an active participant in many of the Chamber of Congress events that promote military and veteran hiring.
Veteran Recruiting Services: These virtual career fairs allow us to personally (and remotely) chat with veterans and transitioning soldiers, and help them make the transition to employment with Xerox.
