Xerox Is One of World’s Most Ethical Companies for 11th Consecutive Year

Since our company’s inception, ethics has been at the forefront of how we do business at Xerox. We have had a formal, corporate-wide program in place since 2002. However, even before that time, business ethics was in Xerox’s DNA.

So it is with great pride that we note Xerox was again named one of the Ethisphere Institute’s World’s Most Ethical Companies for 2017, underscoring the company’s commitment to leading ethical business standards and practices. Since the list’s inception, Xerox is one of only 13 companies that have made the list all 11 years.

“We are committed to doing business the right way, with the highest degree of ethics and in compliance with laws worldwide.” — Jeff Jacobson, Xerox CEO

“At Xerox, we take great pride in our name being synonymous with innovation, quality and integrity,” said Jeff Jacobson, Chief Executive Officer of Xerox. “We are committed to doing business the right way, with the highest degree of ethics and in compliance with laws worldwide. Every decision, and every action taken by every employee, has an impact on the reputation of our company.”

According to Ethisphere’s Chief Executive Officer, Timothy Erblich, there’s been a shift in societal expectations over the last 11 years, as well as constant redefinition of laws and regulations and the geo-political climate. He says organizations honored as the World’s Most Ethical Companies “invest in their local communities around the world, embrace strategies of diversity and inclusion, and focus on long-termism as a sustainable business advantage.”

The World’s Most Ethical Company designation recognizes companies that truly go beyond making statements about doing business ethically and translate those words into action. As Ethisphere has noted, “Since 2007, Ethisphere has honored those companies who recognize their role in society to influence and drive positive change in the business community and societies around the world. These companies also consider the impact of their actions on their employees, investors, customers and other key stakeholders and leverage values and a culture of integrity as the underpinnings to the decisions they make each day.”
