Last week I attended the Financial Services Technology (FST) Summit in Amelia Island, Florida. The setting was great, but we never got outside because the conversation was even better. The event brought together CIO types from some of the country’s most prominent financial institutions to discuss everything from innovation to selecting the right IT vendor. One theme rang loud and clear – technology is a board level issue. Financial services organizations are challenged to restore customer confidence and grow the business – and they are looking to vendors to collaborate on solutions that meet these goals, instead of just providing technology.
There’s no doubt financial services organizations have had a rough couple of years, but the industry is resilient and ready to rebound. For more insight on where the industry is heading and other observations from the event, tune into our Xerox Real Business Radio show today at 4:30pm ET. I’ll be joined by Jim Joyce, Xerox’s senior vice president of Enterprise Print Services who also attended the FST Summit and participated in a panel discussion on managed print services. Jim shared the spotlight on the panel with a few competitors and he’s ready to dish.
